ABOUT ME

MICHAEL LEAMY was born at a very young age. Well, maybe not so young, after all. Raised in rural Oregon as a farm boy, he accumulated a plethora of idea seeds to crunch into story form. He has been a teacher in public schools, private schools, and home school. He has been a steamfitter, plumber, farmer and cemetery sexton. He is a poet, Bible study leader, husband, father, grandfather, counselor, prospector, fisherman, and wordsmith. He enjoys languages (five, so far), a good book, a good cuppa, a quiet evening, and a warm fire. His warped mind enjoys reading the dictionary, the synonym finder, and the encyclopedia. He finds the aroma of an old book to be the bridge of both time and distance. He finds relaxation in rescuing agates from the relentless clutches of the Pacific Ocean, foraging in the forest or at a good garage sale, and ruthlessly drowning a gold pan. He talks to himself, to deer and hummingbirds, and to his dear wife, on occasion. While mulling over the next scene in a story, he appears to be napping, if he does not have a guitar, banjo or harmonica in hand to keep himself awake. Dogs are a yes, cats a definite no. That's him in a nutshell. What would you expect to find in a nutshell, but a nut?  :{)

Michael Leamy's greatest earthly treasure is his well-worn Bible, a graduation gift from his mother nearly fifty years ago. His greatest need is grace for the journey, day by day, which is his for the asking, along with wisdom, discernment, and light for each step of the way. His greatest desire it that the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ will be seen in his actions, heard in his words and sensed in his attitudes. His greatest anticipation is the glorious inheritance reserved for believers in the presence of Christ. Waiting for the SHOUT!
